Hello Sunshine

Hey guys! I can't believe this is the first card I have made this week. My son has been home sick all week. Poor lil guy. But tonight I think we are on the road to recovery... finally. Let me tell ya I went through every clean sheet I owned and had to resort to towels as a blanket. This kid was so sick. But yes, he's getting all better now and Mommy had some time to make a card. Some much needed paper therapy. Ahhhhhh

Ok... so this card was made using the Monday MOJO sketch. The stamped image was a gift from a friend of mine. And I couldn't wait to use it. I think it turned out cute. How bout' you?

DP= Making Memories
Sentiment stamp= Verve (having a huge sale right now! run, run, run, hurry hurry hurry)
All the rest are old supplies from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at my work. I really appreciate it!

Hello Butterfly

Happy weekend! I hope yours was enjoyable. Today I made this card using 2 challenges. CPS sketch 104 and the OCC Challenge this week to use a tag. It was nice to get out my lil butterfly stamp. Especially when there is 6 inches of snow on the ground. But it's to be expected in the Chicagoland area this time of year. But I must say ... I am so sick of winter. Bring on the spring already! The wings of the butterflies are bent up, but for some reason it didn't photograph well. Thank you for coming by to take a look and I wish you a great week ahead.

DP= K&Co 6x6 pad
Cardstock= SU baja breeze and naturals ivory
Stamp= SU
Ink= SU baja breeze
Accesories= Brads, pop dots, glue dots

Riff Raff give~a~way

Hello all! My friend Jerusha is having a give~a~way on her blog. It's Riff Raff product from Canada. Go check it out HERE. In order to be entered to win you must post about the first time you ever scrapbooked.

The first time I ever scrapbooked was with my sister Michelle at her friend's crop night. She thought scrapbooking would be a great hobby for us both to do together so we could spend "quality" time with each other. What a great idea I thought. So I went out and purchased all of my supplies for the crop night. I decided to do my sons first Halloween as a LO. (Halloween is my favorite holiday btw) It turned out that I became addicited that night. I loved playing with paper! And was so proud on my little LO. I have been scraping ever since. My sister Michelle? Hasn't scrapped since that night! LOL So much for the "quality time!"

Sunday crafting

While my 2 guys were having some couch time today... I went to my studio and created this card for my BIL's upcoming birthday. I have been including the inside of the card with my design and have to say it's hard to leave the inside blank now. It makes for such a polished look. I think once you design the inside of a card you have to do it on every card. They just look so plain on the inside to me now when I don't.

All paper = Stampin Up!
Stamps = Verve
Other material = stickels, brad, twine, pearls.

My scrap studio

Hi, I thought today I would share my scrap studio with all of you. A friend of mine brought the subject up and it reminded me of the journey it took to get it all done. So ... here are the before, during, and after pictures. My studio is in our basement. My husband built it for me all by himself. I will update these photos as things change.

This is what the space looked like. My hubby had to stud the walls, insulate, drywall, tape, and mud.

Next came the grid, ceiling, lighting, and paint. Whoo Hoo much better than the dining room table! LOL

Here is what my studio looks now!
