Stamptacular Sunday!

I absolutely LOVE altering things. These little candy tins are perfect for that! These tins can be purchased at JoAnn Fabrics online. Today the challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is you must create a project that decorates both the inside and the outside. It can be whatever you like. Just as long as the inside is decorated too!

These tins make great gift card holders. And then they can be used by the receiver afterwards. How cute would these be decorated for Halloween with little candy corn inside. Hmmmm I may just have to use that one!

Inspiration book

Hey everybody! I have a new project to share with you today. It's an inspiration book that folds out into 6 pocket panels for you to fill with whatever theme you choose. My theme is a weight loss inspiration book for my Mom. I filled it with 6 cute cards that each have an inspiring quote about weight loss. She can carry the book with her or just take out a certain card for that day. It would also be great for a loved one with cancer, who just graduated, or even a recipe book! The ideas are endless. It's real simple to make. You can download the template here from Papertray Ink. If you do make a book please come back here and leave me a link so I can come and check out your wonderful creations.

Once you open the book there are two panels to decorate. If doing a recipe book you could make 2 more pockets and fill them with ingredients for the recipe or pictures of what the dish will look like when finished. Just an idea!

This is what my book looks like on the inside once you open it up all the way. So many possibilities for design!!

Stamptacular Challenge 7-19

For this weeks challenge you will make a card with an unusual out of the ordinary shape...no square or rectangle cards allowed this week! Think outside the square LOL. For this challenge I made a flower pot card. It was so fun creating something different. I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did. Happy Birthday!!

Sunday is my husband's birthday so I made him this card. He really likes bright and cheerful colors so I designed something fun this time. The tri shutter card is being held together by the ribbon tied to the buttons. I did faux stitching around the circles with a glimmer gel pen. Inside the stamping was put in exact placement by using SU stamp a ma jig. I love this tool. I love decorating the envelope of my cards. But I don't get the chance that often as I am mailing most of the cards I make.

Baby Cards

Baby cards are everywhere in blogland this week. And I couldn't resist the itch to make some myself. I love how these scalloped circle cards came out. They were a blast to make. All I did was use my scallop nesties and fold the paper in 1/2. Whola' a scalloped card! Just remember to leave the top area out of the nestie or you'll just cut 2 scallops. So tell me which color combo is your favorite?

A new banner!

I have been wanting a handmade banner for my studio for some time now. And I finally took the time and made one. It says "ART is all Around". It was so fun to make all the little cards and string them together. That wall was so blank and now it's all purtty! All of the supplies were scraps. Perhaps this will be the inspiration you need to make something for your home. There are so many neat ideas out there. Happy crafting!

Hi There!

Happy hump day!! I am crafting tonight doing what I love best... and made 2 cards this evening. This is one of them and it was made from a card kit I received recently with loads of goodies. The theme for the card kit was flowers and rainbows. So lots of bright vibrant colors to work with. Unfortunately due to it all being given to me I can not leave a recipe for this one. The ribbon was from my stash.

Christmas in July

Hello and good morning!! I hope today finds you rested and relaxed. It's Sunday and time for another round of Stamptacular Sunday Challenge! This weeks theme is "Christmas in July". Anything goes as long as it has something to do with Christmas.

This card is non traditional with it's cool blues and no Christmas verbiage. And that is exactly what I was going for. No red & green! LOL It was fun to pull out my Christmas supplies again and also take inventory on what I will need for this year! Heehee

Just a note: our party went super for the 4th! Everyone showed up and ate & drank and swam. The kids had a ball and it was so nice to visit with everyone. I hope you too had a great 4th of July!

This is a little Thank you card I put together using the OCC sketch challenge for this week. Again I have altered the sketch to fit my supplies and paper. This paper is brand new to me and of course it's from Stampin Up! (my demonstrator loves me!) I am really liking their product and love how everything matches. Not a lot of layering on this card like I normally do. It just seemed to take away from the background paper.

I hope you all are having a great week. This weekend is a holiday here in the states. We are planning on having around 30 ppl over for some BBQ & Swimming! I hope I have enough food. LOL

Hey there guys! I have another card to share with you this week. It's for a challenge by my friend Jerusha over at A Pile Of Scrap! She challenged us to make a card inspired by the weather. What a cute theme right? Well I looked... and looked through my stamps and couldn't find anything. So I settled on this cute umbrella. Close enough... *giggle* I actually got to use my new Stamp~a~ma~jig by SU for the umbrella. It is positioned perfectly in the middle of my paper, and now this has become my favorite tool. How did I ever get along w/o it?

This card was also designed around the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I altered it a bit to fit my ribbon. Which I HAD to use with this. Thanks for looking!
