The best day ever & a challenge!

There's a new challenge over at Paper Therapy this week.
The challenge is to make a project based off the theme "New Beginnings". It can be for a new baby, new marriage, new home... etc. I decided to make a card for a new friendship!

I had allot of fun with this challenge using October Afternoon papers and Melissa Frances accents with a little SU tucked in there too. We would love to see what you come up with for this super fun challenge. Just hop on over to Paper Therapy and check it all out.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with friends & family. It definitely was a banner year for my house. One of our best Christmas's ever!!

Wings to Fly

Hey everyone!!
I have been in my studio re~arranging all day. Putting away all of my new goodies from Christmas and hanging a few things here and there. I finally got my hubby to hang some shadow boxes that I have had for a year. heehee He hates putting holes in the wall. Even if it's my wall!! LOL Glad I caught him in the Christmas spirit. ~:0)

With my new decor I decided to make a door hanger for my studio. This is what I came up with. My studio are the wings that let me create almost everyday!! It looks so cute on my door.

I hope you all are resting & relaxing today.
Thanks for popping in!

Challenge #12

This week the challenge at Paper Therapy is to make a Christmas card. Pretty simple right? Not if you've been making Christmas cards out the wazoo! This week I ask you to make one more and give it to someone you weren't planning on giving it to. Spread a little extra cheer this year! When you're done come on over to Paper Therapy and share your creation with us.

My Christmas card for this challenge is going to be given to the lady who helps me with my groceries each week. She's such a sweetie, twice my age, and could probably out run me! Tucked inside will be a little extra something to help her out. The glitter on this card does not photograph well at all!! It's so super shiney. Even the snowflakes have glitter on them. I hope you decide to join us this week.

Thanks for swinging by!

Happy 10th

Today I have a birthday card to share with you! My son is going to a bday party this weekend and the girl is turning 10. What a fun way to use my new chipboard but to do the number 10!! How fun! It's my first time using naked chipboard and I loved it! I feel an addiction coming on. There is so much product on this card. That if you want to know a certain product or technique feel free to email me. The link is in my sidebar. <---

The second picture really shows the dimension on this card. I popped everything up sense it doesn't have to be mailed. The addition of the pearls on the banner just made me smile. Oh and how about that banner?? Killer right? That would be the new Papertrey Ink dies. OMG I am in love with these. So you'll be seeing me use these allot!

I hope you are all getting your Christmas activities and shopping done. Have you started to wrap yet? If not no worries... you still have plenty of time. I hope you all are enjoying the hustle and bustle of the season. Thanks for spending your time to come and see me. Wishes for a great day!

REINDEER FOOD & POEM

The holiday project I have to share with you today are these adorable Reindeer Food Jars. Perfect as a gift for the little ones on Christmas Eve. They are filled with oatmeal oats and glitter. So the mix is sparkley. Just what's needed to attract Santa's reindeer straight to your house! There is a cute poem that goes inside the jar that reads:

Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.

Here is the link to print the poem with a reindeer graphic.
Reindeer Poem

For my jars I used some SU Christmas paper around the jar, SU cardstock on the lid, ribbon from my stash around the lid, Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge for the reindeer, red stickles for the reindeer's nose, SU scallop oval punch for the title, SU dimentionals to pop the title up. This is such a fun and simple gift to make. They also sell great at craft fairs.

Christmas Cards Atlast!!

Finally!! I have selected a design for my Christmas cards this year.
Here it is! Sweet and simple for mass production. The wreath stamp was done in Old Olive, then I placed the Merry stamp inside, and went with stickles for the berries to add some holiday shimmer and shine! The rope is taped to the back and then a bow made. Both being stuck on with a glue dot. The bow hides it. I decided to emboss the red cardstock to give a richer feel. Now it's time to get busy! You now know what I'll be working on for the next week or so.

Have you decided to make your own cards this year? If so I'd love to see them. Leave a link and I'll be sure to check it out. Happy Crafting Everyone!!

Thanksgiving gift tin

This cute little gift tin is going to be filled with uber yummy Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars. Just a little gift for my sister. The stamp is from Verve and the paper is from DCWV. Buttons and twine from SU, ribbon from my stash, and nestabilities dies.

This would also make a wonderful hostess gift for the Thanksgiving holiday too. There are so many people to be thankful for in our lives. Which is why I just love Thanksgiving. What a perfect time to make something extra special to tell those special people in our lives how much they mean to us.

The tin is actually an old Fannie Mae tin that I altered. The perfect size for my Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars. It's not too late to make a gift for that special someone. If you do please leave a link so I can come see. ~:0)

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treat Bags

Hi Guys!! I have some fun Halloween projects to share with you all and I'll be posting them all week long. So be sure to check back often. Or better yet become a follower and you'll know the minute I upload something new.

Today's Halloween project are these cute little paper bags. All I did was stamp in black ink this cute bat and decorated the fron with patterned paper and some embellies. I punched 2 holes with my crop a dile at the top and pulled the ribbon through. The edge detail on top was super easy. Just cut about 1/4" off the top and put the front and back in your border punch at the same time. And punch!

Here are all of them.
These are going to be for my Nieces & Nephews.

Lost Mojo

Hey guys. I hope you are all having a great day. Looks like rain for us. But that's ok we need it so badly. No pool today! Which means craft time. However... I must say my mojo has got up and went somewhere. This Christmas card is proof. LOL It is my 1st attempt at a design for this years cards. And I hate it! LOL It's so dark isn't it? I really want to incorporate this fold over frame. But I just can't seem to pull it together. Any ideas???

More recipe cards

Heehee I am in actually 2 recipe swaps this month. This is for the swap over at Paper Therapy. I hope noone minds me using the same recipe for both. It's super yummy!! Again I pulled out my handy dandy sewing machine and went to work. Oh how fun sewing on cards is. So much faster than all of the paper piercing I used to do. This swap the card size was to be 6 x 6. I like this size so much better as it allows more space to decorate.

Summer is coming to an end. School starts here in 2 days. It seems the kids are trying to fit in everything in these last two days that they possibly can. It's off to 4th grade this year for my little guy. Although he's not so little anymore and I guess I should stop saying that! LOL I'll post pics of the first day of school on Wednesday.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
