The best day ever & a challenge!



There's a new challenge over at Paper Therapy this week.
The challenge is to make a project based off the theme "New Beginnings". It can be for a new baby, new marriage, new home... etc. I decided to make a card for a new friendship!

I had allot of fun with this challenge using October Afternoon papers and Melissa Frances accents with a little SU tucked in there too. We would love to see what you come up with for this super fun challenge. Just hop on over to Paper Therapy and check it all out.

Wings to Fly

Hey everyone!!

I have been in my studio re~arranging all day. Putting away all of my new goodies from Christmas and hanging a few things here and there. I finally got my hubby to hang some shadow boxes that I have had for a year. heehee He hates putting holes in the wall. Even if it's my wall!! LOL Glad I caught him in the Christmas spirit. ~:0)

With my new decor I decided to make a door hanger for my studio. This is what I came up with. My studio are the wings that let me create almost everyday!! It looks so cute on my door.

Challenge #12

This week the challenge at Paper Therapy is to make a Christmas card. Pretty simple right? Not if you've been making Christmas cards out the wazoo! This week I ask you to make one more and give it to someone you weren't planning on giving it to. Spread a little extra cheer this year! My Christmas card for this challenge is going to be given to the lady who helps me with my groceries each week. She's such a sweetie, twice my age, and could probably out run me! Tucked inside will be a little extra something to help her out. The glitter on this card does not photograph well at all!! It's so super shiney. Even the snowflakes have glitter on them. I hope you decide to join us this week.

Happy 10th



Today I have a birthday card to share with you! My son is going to a bday party this weekend and the girl is turning 10. What a fun way to use my new chipboard but to do the number 10!! How fun! It's my first time using naked chipboard and I loved it! I feel an addiction coming on. There is so much product on this card. The second picture really shows the dimension on this card. I popped everything up sense it doesn't have to be mailed. The addition of the pearls on the banner just made me smile. Oh and how about that banner?? Killer right? That would be the new Papertrey Ink dies. OMG I am in love with these. So you'll be seeing me use these allot!

My Bestie is the Bestest!!

I received the following in a big box today from my Bestie! Her stuff is amazing and if you have yet to visit her blog you really need to see the cutest stuff in the world!! VISIT STACEY. There was also a little box with the cutest tree stamp on it filled with candy canes but my son thinks she sent it for him and he won't let it go long enough to include it in the pic. The glass jar is super sweet and filled with all kinds of chipboard. Thank you Stacey!! I love ya!!

A Winter Challenge

Ok... time for the challenge. This weeks challenge is simple enough. Just make a project with a snowflake somewhere on it. Very appropriate for our season. And how fun to make a snowflake project as it's snowing outside. Well atleast here in the Chicagoland area it is. In fact we are under a state of emergency.

REINDEER FOOD & POEM

The holiday project I have to share with you today are these adorable Reindeer Food Jars. Perfect as a gift for the little ones on Christmas Eve. They are filled with oatmeal oats and glitter. So the mix is sparkley. Just what's needed to attract Santa's reindeer straight to your house! There is a cute poem that goes inside the jar that reads:

Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.

For my jars I used some SU Christmas paper around the jar, SU cardstock on the lid, ribbon from my stash around the lid, Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge for the reindeer, red stickles for the reindeer's nose, SU scallop oval punch for the title, SU dimentionals to pop the title up. This is such a fun and simple gift to make. They also sell great at craft fairs.
